Consolidated Product Policy: Product Compliance, Safety, Restricted Products & Recall Policy

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This policy sets out the compliance, safety, and restricted-product standards that every seller must meet in order to list on iRazzh. It applies to all Vendors, brand partners, and seller accounts on the platform, to every product, variant, and listing submitted, regardless of product category, order volume, or where the Vendor is based.

iRazzh operates as an online marketplace facilitator under the Saudi E-Commerce Law and its Implementing Regulations. Products are offered by independent third-party Vendors. iRazzh does not manufacture, formulate, import, or take title to Vendor products. Where any provision of this policy conflicts with the Vendor Agreement, the stricter standard of compliance applies.

Any violation under this policy is logged in the Vendor's compliance score and affects platform ranking or commission rate per iRazzh's published schedule. iRazzh reserves the right to suspend or remove a vendor for repeated violations, without compensation.

Applies To: All Vendors, sellers, dealers, and brand partners listing products on the iRazzh platform directly or indirectly.

1.1 WHO THIS POLICY APPLIES TO

This Policy applies to every active or prospective Vendor, brand partner, and seller account registered on iRazzh, and to every product, variant, and listing submitted to the platform, regardless of product category, order volume, or whether the Vendor is based inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

1.2 RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER IRAZZH POLICIES

This Policy operates alongside, and does not override, the following iRazzh policies. Vendors remain bound by all applicable terms:

  • Terms and conditions
  • Vendor Agreement and Seller Terms
  • Return and Refund Policy
  • Cancellations Policy
  • Warranty Policy
  • Privacy Policy
  • Intellectual Property Policy
  • Advertising and Listing Content Standards

2. DEFINITIONS

Vendor/Seller Any individual or entity registered to list and sell products on the iRazzh platform.
Compliance Compliance means conformity with all applicable Saudi laws, SASO standards, SFDA requirements, Ministry of Commerce regulations, and iRazzh's own platform standards at all times.
Listing A product page or offer submitted by a Vendor for display and sale on iRazzh.
Competent Authority SFDA, SASO, the Ministry of Commerce, ZATCA, or any other Saudi government body with jurisdiction over a given product or activity.
Recall The withdrawal of a listed product from sale and, where required, from customers, in response to a confirmed or suspected safety or compliance issue.
Restricted Product A product category that may only be listed after Vendor documentation has been reviewed and pre-approved by iRazzh's Compliance team.
Prohibited Product means any item whose listing, sale, or delivery on iRazzh is absolutely barred.
SFDA Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
SASO Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.

3. VENDOR ELIGIBILITY AND REGULATORY REGISTRATION

Before listing any product, a Vendor must hold and maintain, for as long as products remain listed, all registrations and licenses required under Saudi law for the Vendor's business activity and product category. iRazzh may request evidence of any of the following at any time and may suspend a listing or account where evidence is not provided within a reasonable timeframe.

Required registrations include:

  • A valid Commercial Registration covering e-commerce or retail trade activity.
  • Business Platform (business.sa) registration, where applicable.
  • A valid SABER Certificate of Conformity for any product subject to SASO technical regulations.
  • Valid SFDA registration, notification, or listing certificate for any product within SFDA's regulatory scope.
  • ZATCA tax registration and e-invoicing capability where applicable.
  • Any additional sector-specific license required by the Vendor's product category.

Vendors selling into Saudi Arabia from outside the Kingdom remain subject to these requirements where their products are offered or delivered to consumers in Saudi Arabia, consistent with the extraterritorial scope of the E-Commerce Law.

4. PRODUCT COMPLIANCE STANDARDS

Compliance is a condition of listing on iRazzh and applies without exception.

Every product must be accurately described, properly labelled, and lawfully fit for the Saudi market before it is submitted for listing.

4.1 FASHION, CLOTHING, AND TEXTILES

  • Mandatory on-garment or on-packaging labelling: fabric and material composition, care instructions in both Arabic and English, country of manufacture, size, and brand name
  • Children's garments must meet applicable child-safety requirements, including the absence of detachable small parts and the use of safe, age-appropriate fastenings
  • Imported garments must be accompanied by valid customs documentation and, where the product category falls under a SASO technical regulation, a SABER Certificate of Conformity
  • Listings must not depict or describe counterfeit, replicas, or otherwise unauthorized use of any third-party brand, logo, or trademark

4.2 BEAUTY, PERSONAL CARE AND COSMETICS

  • Products must hold a valid SFDA listing certificate obtained through the GHAD electronic system before listing, where SFDA registration or notification is required for the product category
  • A full ingredient list in INCI nomenclature must be included in the product description
  • No product may contain any substance found on SFDA's published list of prohibited cosmetic ingredients, and any restricted ingredient must remain within SFDA's permitted concentration limits
  • Marketing claims such as “organic,” “hypoallergenic,” “clinically tested,” or similar must be supported by documented evidence that the Vendor retains and can produce to iRazzh on request
  • Claims that suggest medical or therapeutic effects (for example, claims to treat acne, halt ageing, or cure a skin condition) are not permitted unless the product is separately registered and approved by SFDA for that specific therapeutic use
  • Where culturally relevant, alcohol content and any animal-derived ingredients should be clearly disclosed in the listing

4.3 JEWELRY AND ACCESSORIES

  • Jewelry and metallic accessories must be free of restricted heavy metals (including but not limited to lead, cadmium, and nickel) above SASO and applicable international permitted thresholds
  • Imported accessories must be accompanied by applicable customs documentation and, where required, a SABER Certificate of Conformity
  • Listings for gold, silver, and precious-stone items must accurately state purity, weight, and material composition

4.4 LABELLING LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Consistent with SASO and SFDA labelling requirements, all safety warnings, usage instructions, and mandatory disclosures must appear in Arabic or in Arabic and English together. Marketing copy may additionally appear in other languages, but mandatory compliance information may never appear in English alone.

5. RESTRICTED AND PROHIBITED PRODUCTS

5.1 ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED PRODUCTS

The following may never be listed on iRazzh under any circumstances, regardless of Vendor location, claimed certification, or product framing:

  • Any product prohibited under Saudi law or contrary to Islamic principles and public morals
  • Counterfeit, fake, replica, or otherwise unauthorized copies of any branded, trademarked, or patented product
  • Products containing alcohol in concentrations or forms prohibited under Saudi law
  • Products containing pork-derived ingredients, particularly within beauty, wellness, supplement, and food-adjacent categories
  • Prescription medications, controlled substances, or any product that legally requires a medical prescription
  • Products that infringe registered trademarks, patents, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights
  • Products that have been banned, withdrawn, or recalled by SFDA, SASO, the Ministry of Commerce, or any other competent Saudi authority
  • Weapons, hazardous chemicals, or other items requiring specialized import permits not held by the Vendor

5.2 RESTRICTED PRODUCTS REQUIRING PRE-APPROVAL

The categories below may only be listed after the Vendor has submitted supporting documentation and received written pre-approval from iRazzh's Compliance team:

  • Fragrances containing ingredients subject to SFDA concentration restrictions
  • Skincare products containing active pharmaceutical-grade ingredients
  • Hair coloring products, subject to applicable SFDA documentation
  • Children's products requiring specific safety certification
  • Any product whose listing makes a therapeutic, medical, or treatment-related claim

5.3 ENFORCEMENT OF RESTRICTIONS

Listings found to contain a prohibited product are removed immediately and without prior notice. A Vendor found to have knowingly listed a prohibited product faces immediate and permanent account termination.

iRazzh reserves the right, and where legally required, accepts the obligation, to report such violations to the Ministry of Commerce, SFDA, SASO, or any other competent Saudi authority.

6. PRODUCT SAFETY OBLIGATIONS

Every product sold on iRazzh must be safe for its intended use. This is a condition of listing, not an aspiration, and sits alongside the Vendor's own obligations under the Saudi Product Safety Law.

6.1 VENDOR SAFETY OBLIGATIONS

  • List only products that are demonstrably safe for their intended use and target consumer, including children where relevant
  • Comply with all applicable SASO, SFDA, and Ministry of Commerce product safety requirements for the product category
  • Notify iRazzh immediately at support@irazzh.com upon becoming aware of any safety risk associated with a listed product
  • Respond to safety-related queries raised by iRazzh within twenty-four (24) hours
  • Maintain complete safety and compliance documentation for the duration of the listing and for no less than five (5) years thereafter

6.2 IRAZZH SAFETY MONITORING PROGRAM

iRazzh monitors customer complaint patterns for indicators of systemic safety issues, conducts periodic random quality sampling of active listings, tracks SFDA and SASO safety alerts on an ongoing basis, and may commission independent third-party safety assessments for higher-risk product categories.

This monitoring is a risk-management measure undertaken at iRazzh's discretion and does not transfer, reduce, or substitute for the Vendor's own legal responsibility for the safety and compliance of its products.

7. PRODUCT RECALL PROCEDURE

Under the Aggregated Shipping Model, iRazzh coordinates recall logistics through its integrated courier network. Vendors are responsible for all costs arising from a recall attributable to their products. The responsible Vendor bears the cost of remedies and cooperates fully throughout.

Stage Timeline Action
Stage 1 0–2 hours Immediate delisting of all affected listings; order history reviewed to identify affected transactions; Recall Response Team convened
Stage 2 Within 4 hours Affected Vendor(s) notified via registered email and Seller Dashboard: confirmation of recall, reason and scope, required immediate actions, and iRazzh's proposed response timeline
Stage 3 Customer notification, Within 48 hours All affected buyers notified: clear description of the issue; instructions (stop use, return, or dispose); available remedies (refund, replacement, store credit); direct support contact
Stage 4 Regulatory notification, within 72 hours, where required Where the recall involves a reportable safety issue, iRazzh notifies SFDA, SASO, or the Ministry of Commerce and cooperates fully with any regulatory investigation
Stage 5 Remediation Affected customers are offered remedies. iRazzh coordinates return logistics through the Aggregated Shipping Model. All remediation costs are borne by the responsible Vendor and recovered from their payouts
Stage 6 Post recall review within 30 days Root-cause analysis completed; findings logged in the Compliance Register; systemic gaps addressed; Vendors who knowingly supplied unsafe products face permanent termination and regulatory referral

7.1 RECALL TRIGGERS

  • An official recall or safety advisory issued by SFDA, SASO, the Ministry of Commerce, or an equivalent authority
  • A voluntary recall initiated by a Vendor or manufacturer
  • iRazzh's identification of a systemic pattern of safety-related customer complaints
  • An internal quality check revealing a defect that poses a credible risk of harm

8. MARKETPLACE ROLE AND LIABILITY

iRazzh provides the technology platform that enables Vendors to list and sell products to consumers; it is an intermediary under the E-Commerce Law and does not manufacture, formulate, inspect, or certify Vendor products before listing.

8.1 VENDOR RESPONSIBILITY

The Vendor is solely and fully responsible for the accuracy of its listings, the lawfulness and safety of its products, and compliance with every applicable Saudi law and regulation referenced in this policy. Submitting a listing constitutes the Vendor's representation and warranty that the product and listing comply with this policy and with Saudi law.

8.2 NO ENDORSEMENT OR WARRANTY

iRazzh's review, sampling, or monitoring activity under this Policy is undertaken on a risk-management basis and does not constitute an endorsement, certification, or warranty by iRazzh of any product's compliance, quality, or safety.

Any compliance badge, approval marker, or similar indicator displayed on the platform reflects the Vendor's self-declared status and supporting documentation on file, not an independent guarantee by iRazzh, and may constitute action.

8.3 INDEMNIFICATION

Each Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold iRazzh harmless against any fine, penalty, claim, loss, or liability arising from the Vendor's non-compliant, unsafe, or unlawful product or listing, including costs reasonably incurred by iRazzh in responding to a regulatory inquiry, customer claim, or recall caused by the Vendor's product. This obligation survives the suspension or termination of the Vendor's account.

9. MONITORING, AUDIT AND ENFORCEMENT

iRazzh reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to:

  • Request supporting documentation, certificates, or test reports for any listed product
  • Conduct random or targeted quality sampling of active listings
  • Suspend or remove a listing pending review where a credible compliance or safety concern is identified
  • Share listing and Vendor information with SFDA, SASO, the Ministry of Commerce, or another competent authority where legally required or where iRazzh reasonably believes a violation has occurred

10. NON-COMPLIANCE AND PENALTIES

iRazzh applies a single, consistent escalation framework across every category and violation type covered by this Policy:

Violation Tier Consequence
First Violation Immediate listing suspension and formal written warning.
Second Violation Listing suspension and a 30-day probationary period, with mandatory remediation evidence. Compliance score updated; ranking and commission rate affected.
Third Violation, or Willful Non-Compliance Permanent account termination and referral to the relevant Saudi regulatory authority.

iRazzh reserves the right to bypass the standard escalation framework and proceed directly to permanent termination where a violation involves a prohibited product, a deliberate safety concealment, or any conduct that exposes consumers to a credible risk of harm.

iRazzh reserves the right to suspend or remove a vendor for repeated violations, without compensation.

11. REPORTING A CONCERN

Any user, buyer, vendor, or party who becomes aware of a product on iRazzh that may be unsafe, non-compliant, or prohibited may report it to:

Email: support@irazzh.com.

Reports are reviewed promptly and, where appropriate, escalated through the recall procedure described in Section 7

It is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and any dispute arising from it falls within the jurisdiction of the competent Saudi courts and regulatory authorities

iRazzh may amend this Policy at any time; continued listing of products on the platform following notice of an amendment constitutes the Vendor's acceptance of the revised Policy.
